About

Hello, welcome to my website!

My name is Daniel Monk and my purpose is to create opportunity.

My goal with this blog is to help you get the best return on your greenhouse investment. Take a few minutes to look around, engage in the conversations and enjoy The Grower’s Guide to ROI.

A little bit about me:

I passionately work towards being my best self everyday and hope to inspire others to do the same. On my days off you might find me riding ski lifts, having near death experiences on my mountain bike, stomping kick flips, dancing by the speaker, learning, building and enjoying life.

I have a couple degrees and can never get enough learning. My undergrad was  Information Systems and I earned my MBA with an emphasis in renewable energy. I see a bright future in greenhouses and I am lucky to have a career alongside the great people at Agra Tech greenhouse manufactures.

Lets connect! Feel free to send me an email at ContactDanielMonk@gmail.com / connect with me on LinkedIn.

Sincerely,

Daniel J. Monk

    1. Yes, greenhouses can be used to grow produce in space.
NASA has had success with it back in 2010.(http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/station/research/10-074.html)
Also, check out the University of Arizona’s Lunar Greenhouse Project. (http://ag.arizona.edu/lunargreenhouse)
They look more like a grow chamber than a greenhouse, but they use the same concept. For growing in space you need light, water, oxygen, and a sealed environment.

Thank you for the comment, I may blog about this topic with a little more detail in the near future.
